ISLAMABAD:
Religious Affairs Minister Sardar Muhammad Yousaf on Wednesday clarified the misconceptions regarding official Hajj and Umrah arrangements for parliamentarians, stating that no lawmaker is being sent on Hajj or Umrah at government’s expense.
Speaking at a press conference alongside Religious Affairs Secretary Dr Sajid Mahmood Chauhan, Sardar Yousaf highlighted his ministry’s achievements, while addressing key concerns regarding pilgrim welfare, interfaith harmony, and administrative efficiency.
The minister categorically stated that no member of the National Assembly or any standing committee is being sent on Hajj or Umrah at the ministry’s expense. “Anyone who wishes to go to the holy land will bear their own expenses,” he said.
