AMD confirms Ryzen 7 9850X3D launch

Built on AMD’s Zen 5 “Granite Ridge” architecture, the Ryzen 7 9850X3D was officially unveiled at CES 2026, following months of speculation.

David McAfee, AMD’s Vice President and GM of Client Channel Business, described it as a significant step forward, calling it “the world’s most advanced gaming processor” and highlighting its smooth, consistent performance.

Retail listings suggest a competitive price of around $502, and with a modest premium over the 9800X3D and strong performance gains, the Ryzen 7 9850X3D is expected to be in high demand, appealing to gamers and PC enthusiasts worldwide.
