Travis Kelce ‘charity drama’ likely to drag Taylor Swift amid Blake Lively controversy

Financial transparency and operational structure of Travis Kelce’s Eighty-Seven and Running Foundation has raises eyebrows after it was claimed that only about 41 cents of every dollar raised went directly to charitable causes.

The report came after Taylor Swift’s fiancé, who is Kansas City Chiefs tight end, won the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Charity Challenge for the third time on January 7th, 2026, earning $35,000 for him to distribute for a charitable cause.

However, the funds will not go to Kelce’s own nonprofit, according to reporting by Jason Wolf of The Arizona Republic. Instead, the donation is being directed to Operation Breakthrough, an established Kansas City–based organization that Kelce has supported for years.

The report comes as Taylor Swift is drawing backlash from Justin Baldoni supporters after a US court unsealed documents containing her controversial texts messages with actress Blake Lively pertaining to her legal battel with her “It Ends With Us” co-star.

While speculation about any irregularities in his charitable work are not confirmed, given Taylor Swift’s position in Blake Live and Justin Baldoni legal case, both the popstar and her fiancé are expected to draw massive backlash online as social media users hardly care to confirm speculations and rumors.

Meanwhile, Travis Kelce  and Taylor Swift are expected to get married this year.

Notably, Taylor Swift ended her relationship with her longtime friend Blake Lively after she was dragged into her sexual harassments lawsuit against Baldoni,. However, it’s not known how she will react if her own fiancé is caught in a controversy.
