Meta has introduced a new feature in WhatsApp that resembles a popular feature on Facebook.
According to a report by WABetaInfo, the latest iOS beta version of WhatsApp includes a cover photo feature.
With this new profile feature, users will be able to add a cover photo along with their profile picture, similar to Facebook. WhatsApp is expanding the space above profile pictures to allow users to add and display a cover photo. A dedicated cover banner layout will appear above the profile picture, giving profiles a more detailed and visually appealing look, just like on Facebook.
Currently, the cover photo option is only available for business accounts, but the new update will make it accessible to individual users as well.
According to the report, adding a cover photo will work similarly to Facebook. Users will need to click on the designated cover photo area and select an image, which can be changed at any time. The cover photo will remain active in profile settings and will be visible to anyone viewing the profile.
This update follows recent WhatsApp feature launches for all users, including member tags, text stickers, and event reminders, aimed at enhancing user interaction and profile customization.
