Former Nickelodeon child actor Tylor Chase raises concern after being spotted living on US streets

Chase rose to prominence playing Martin Qwerly in Nickelodeon’s show ‘Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide’
Tylor Chase, best known for his role in the Nickelodeon series Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, has recently been spotted living on the streets of California, sparking widespread concern about his wellbeing.
Once a familiar face on television, the former child actor now appears unrecognisable, years after stepping away from the entertainment industry.
Born on September 6, 1989, in Arizona, Chase rose to prominence playing Martin Qwerly in the popular children’s show, which aired from 2004 to 2007. He was reportedly discovered by ProScout and later appeared in Everybody Hates Chris, followed by film roles in Good Time Max and L.A. Noire. After his final screen appearance, Chase largely disappeared from public view.
In September 2025, an influencer shared videos and images of Chase sitting on the streets of Riverside, California, dressed in torn clothing. In the footage, he identified himself as the former Ned’s Declassified actor and spoke about auditioning for roles. A more recent viral video showed him interacting with a passer-by, smiling as he again recalled his work on the Nickelodeon series.
Little is publicly known about the circumstances that led to his current situation. However, a resurfaced 2015 video showed Chase speaking about declining attendance at his poetry performances and discussing his struggles with bipolar disorder, which he said influenced his writing.
Following the viral clips, a GoFundMe campaign was launched. Chase’s family later reportedly stated that financial donations were not what he needed, explaining that he requires medical support and help managing his medication. His former co-stars Devon Werkheiser, Daniel Curtis Lee and Lindsey Shaw have also reportedly said they are trying to support their former colleague.
