Nick Reiner is on suicide watch after being arrested and charged for the murders of his parents, Rob Reiner 78 and Michele Singer Reiner, 70.

Rob and Michele were found dead with multiple stab wounds and their throats slit in the bedroom of their Los Angeles home on Sunday, December 14. Their daughter Romy, who lives nearby, was the one who found the couple in that state and called the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Nick was questioned after ward and arrested the same day. He has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder. He is being held at Twin Towers Correctional Facility in downtown Los Angeles.

He currently being held in solitary confinement and isn’t allowed to talk to anyone but his legal counsel and authorized jail personnel. He also has to wear a blue suicide-prevention smock at all times, per a source who spoke to People.

Nick can leave his cell only for court appearances or medical reasons, and must be escorted by a sergeant at all times.

A video camera that is attached to his escorting officer keeps a tab on him.

This comes after sources claimed that Nick was diagnosed with schizophrenia prior to the murders and was on medication that made him act “erratically.”

Insiders also told TMZ that Romy told the police to investigate a “dangerous” family member, which is believed to be Nick.

Other insiders told Us Weekly that Nick had been hostile toward his family for years before the murders. He has also spoken about his drug abuse battle that left him homeless in many states of the U.S.
