Chris Martin gives fierce warning to ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow amid his new romance

Chris Martin has reportedly given a fierce warning to his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow amid his new romance with Sophie Turner.
For those unaware, the 48-year-old English singer, songwriter, musician and producer and Paltrow, who first met backstage at his concert in 2002, tied the knot in 2003, welcomed two children, Apple and Moses, and parted ways in 2014.
Following his divorce, Martin started dating Dakota Johnson in 2017 and announced their engagement in March 2024; however, they eventually parted ways in June 2025.
Now, the vocalist, pianist and co-founder of the rock band Coldplay is dating Turner, the star of Games of Thrones.
An insider told Radar Online that Paltrow is dumping advice on Martin and trying to be on a double date with them, which he has refused.
The source stated, “Chris knows Gwyneth means well, but he just wants her to leave him alone and let him get on with it.”
Paltrow is well-known for coining the term “consciously uncoupling,” preaching the goodness of staying friendly after a breakup after the end of her 11-year marriage to the Fix You hitmaker.
“Gwyneth acts like she’s got this divine right to be told everything that’s going on with Chris, especially when it comes to his love life,” the source said. “He honored that for many years and she became his de facto dating coach, a role that she absolutely relished.”
“He even broke things off with some of his exes on Paltrow’s advice. But it got suffocating and sometimes caused issues, especially with Johnson. Now Chris wants to move forward without Gwyneth’s interference. He worries it’s stifling him and creeping out the women he dates, which is fair,” they claimed.
“Suffice to say, Gwyneth doesn’t like this new emboldened version of Chris, but he’s not giving her a choice,” concluded the insider.
