Olivia Rodrigo’s 10-year-old self would have never believed if she were told that she would meet her icon in the future.
In a recent chat on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame‘s podcast Music Makes Us, the 22-year-old singer dished on her full-circle moment with Harry Styles when both artists hung out.
Olivia revealed that she used to write “One Direction fan fiction” during her “elementary school” days.
“Many years later, I hung out with Harry Styles, and we got tea, and we walked around,” she shared.
Recalling her fan moment, the Vampire singer continued, “And I got home, and I was like, ‘What the f***?’ I feel like I wrote that in a fan fiction, and now I’ve lived it. That is so crazy how that can happen in your life.”
Harry was “so sweet,” Olivia gushed.
She further shared that if someone had told her during her school days that she was going to meet Harry in the future, she’d say, “Shut the f*** up, you’re lying.”
The Brutal singer also talked about the album she gets inspiration during her low moments.
“Honestly, I listen to [Alanis Morissette’s] Jagged Little Pill when I’m feeling, like, I don’t know what to say or like, who am I?. For some reason that album, just like, every part of what makes a human being a human being, it feels like it’s encapsulated in that record,” she admitted
