
Islamabad: According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), cold weather is expected to prevail across most parts of the country today, with partly cloudy skies in several regions, while dense fog and smog will significantly affect visibility in many plain areas.
Punjab, upper Sindh, and the plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to experience moderate to dense fog/smog, especially during morning and night hours.
Islamabad and surrounding areas will remain cold with partly cloudy conditions. Kashmir is expected to have cold weather with partly cloudy skies, while Gilgit-Baltistan will remain cloudy with chances of rain at a few places and light snowfall over mountainous areas.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts will experience cold and partly cloudy weather, with rain and light snowfall possible in Chitral, Dir, and Kohistan, while fog is expected in Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, Charsadda, Nowshera, and Dera Ismail Khan.
Most districts of Punjab will remain cold and partly cloudy, with fog likely in Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, and dense fog/smog expected in Gujrat, Jhelum, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Bahawalnagar, Okara, Sahiwal, Multan, Khanewal, Khanpur, Kot Addu, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, and Rajanpur.
In Sindh, weather will remain dry and cold during morning and night hours, with fog expected in Sukkur, Rohri, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Larkana, and Mohenjo Daro. Balochistan will also experience cold weather with partly cloudy skies across most districts.
