Lindsay Lohan gets honest about guiding son in ‘different’ direction

Lindsay Lohan is noting that she’ll guide her son in a different direction than she went.
Lindsay became a mom when she welcomed son Luai with husband Bader Shammas in 2023.
Speaking at a panel during The Wellness Oasis Presented by Chase at Art Basel on Tuesday, Dec. 2, the Freakier Friday star was asked about motherhood by a moderator.
“All of it. Every single moment, just knowing you can share your life with another person, that you’ve given life to this whole person, and they get to see the world, it’s such a freedom,” Lohan answered.
“And my experiences and all the stuff that I’ve gone through in life, I can share that with my son, so he knows a different way,” she continued.
“And I’m so grateful for that and for the knowledge that I’ve gained through everything I’ve gone through in my past — it’s so nice that I can now guide him in a different direction,” the Parent Trap star said.
In late July, Lindsay was asked whether Luai has seen her on TV during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
“Actually, this morning, he was with my in-laws and my husband, and I was doing Good Morning America,” the 39-year-old explained. “And he was like, ‘Mommy, come out! Mommy!’ He thought I was like, stuck.”
“So now I’m like, now that he’s getting older and more aware, I’m like, kind of scared. I don’t want him to think…like get confused,” Lindsay said.
As for which of her films she would let her son watch first, she named the 2005 film Herbie: Fully Loaded.
