Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman diagnosed with dengue

KARACHI: Renowned religious scholar and former chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Mufti Muneeb Ur Rehman, has been diagnosed with dengue fever.

According to details, Mufti Muneeb is currently under treatment at a private hospital in Karachi.

Mufti Abdul Razzaq Naqshbandi stated that Mufti Muneeb’s condition has improved to some extent, and he has even been offering prayers while in the hospital.

He added that doctors have advised Mufti Muneeb to take complete rest, and it is expected that he may be allowed to return home soon, subject to medical clearance.

The family has appealed for prayers for Mufti Muneeb ur Rehman’s speedy recovery.

Earlier, The Director-General of Health Sindh has released a report on the current dengue situation of Sindh, highlighting a significant increase in cases. According to the report, 260 new dengue cases were reported in the past 24 hours.

During this period, 43 patients were admitted to government hospitals and 34 to private hospitals, bringing the total number of dengue patients currently receiving treatment in hospitals to 71.

In Karachi, 25 new patients were admitted to government hospitals, while Hyderabad reported 9 new admissions.

Meanwhile, 42 patients were discharged from government hospitals and 45 from private hospitals after recovery. Fortunately, no deaths from dengue were reported in the past 24 hours.
