Chaeyoung will miss key world tour stops in Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, and Bangkok
JYP Entertainment has confirmed that TWICE member Chaeyoung will temporarily halt her activities after being diagnosed with vasovagal syncope, a condition that can lead to fainting due to sudden drops in heart rate and blood pressure.
The agency emphasized that Chaeyoung’s health and well-being remain the top priority, following thorough medical evaluations and consultations.
In an official statement addressed to fans, JYP Entertainment shared:
“Chaeyoung was recently diagnosed with vasovagal syncope and advised to take a period of rest based on medical consultations. After additional evaluations and in-depth discussions, it has been concluded that Chaeyoung requires further time for recovery. Consequently, she will temporarily pause her activities through the end of the year to prioritize her health and rest.
In line with medical guidance, Chaeyoung will participate in upcoming schedules only to a limited extent and may be absent from certain commitments. We regret to inform you that she will not be joining the World Tour stops in Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, and Bangkok. Chaeyoung herself feels deeply disappointed and expresses her sincere apologies to fans for being unable to participate in fan events since October.
We understand that this announcement may bring concern, but we sincerely appreciate the understanding and support of all fans during this unfortunate situation. JYP Entertainment will provide full support to ensure that Chaeyoung is able to rest and recover fully.”
