North West and Kim Kardashian face backlash after 12-year-old debuts new piercings
West’s latest body modification includes dermal piercings on her fingers amid Kardashians defence of her choices
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s eldest daughter North West, recently posted photos on the TikTok page she shares with her mother, and proudly showed off the new piercings that she got on her fingers.
The 12-year-old’s latest body modification includes a dual dermal piercing on her right middle finger and a blue gem piercing on her left middle finger.
Shortly after the pictures started circulating on social media, Kim Kardashian came under fire for allowing her child to undergo such a risky procedure.
Previously too, West has drawn online criticism for her bold fashion choices including, fake tattoos and piercings as well as for wearing a corset and miniskirt during a family holiday in Rome last summer.
Addressing the backlash during her recent Call Me Daddy interview, Kardashian maintained that she supports her daughter’s creativity.
The reality star added, “I would never take that creativity away from her. She’s such a good girl and so sweet. If blue hair makes her happy, it is what it is.”
