The ballroom competition on Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars continues to heat up as the Week 7 results were revealed, sending home Jen Affleck and Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour dancer Jan Ravnik.
The announcement followed a surprise non-elimination in Week 5 and Scott Hoying and Rylee Arnold’s exit last week after a competitive round of performances.
The departure came at the end of the show’s “Halloween Night”, where the contestants performed dances inspired by the occasion.
Two-time Mirrorball winner Cheryl Burke joined regular judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli.
Prior to the performances, host Alfonso Ribeiro announced that Elaine Hendrix would remain absent on tonight’s episode due to an injury. The judges scored her and partner Alan Bernsten’s performance based on their last rehearsal on the basis of which the pair evaded elimination. Meanwhile, Hendrix’s doctor’s have cleared her to return to the show next week.
This week’s elimination leaves eight celebrity couples in the running for the Mirrorball Trophy, including Jordan Chiles, Danielle Fishel, Dylan Efron, Alix Earle, Robert Irwin, Whitney Leavitt, Andy Richter, and Hendrix.
Looking ahead, rapper Flavor Flav will join the judges’ panel as a special guest for Week 8.
The series continues to air Tuesdays at 8 pm ET/PT on ABC, with episodes also streaming the following day on Disney+ and Hulu.
