As Sean “Diddy” combs completes more than a year in jail, reports reveal the exact date the former music mogul, who faces a 50-month prison sentence for charges of transportation to engage in prostitution, will be released from prison.
According to Complex, federal records from the Bureau of Prisons reveal Diddy’s expected prison release date as May 8 of 2028 given there are no changes in the sentencing.
While Diddy has opportunities to appeal and access other legal resources to lessen the time he serves, any changes remain speculative at this time.
This release date would mark approximately three years and seven months since his arrest in September of last year.
Recently, rumours abounded that US president Donald Trump was considering a presidential pardon for the musician. Responding to these reports, a White House spokesperson expressed that there is “zero truth” to these reports. “The President, not anonymous sources, is the final decider on pardons and commutations,” the spokesperson stated.
During his time in jail, Diddy reportedly faces several threats and attacks including from a fellow inmates at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, as reports allege that the rapper recently woke up with a knife to his throat.
