Kristen Bell reveals what made her speak out about life’s ‘dark moments’

Kristen Bell has recently made shocking confession about her depression on her husband Dax Shepard’s request.
The Veronica Mars star talked about the challenges during 12 years of marriage with Dax in a new interview with Red magazine.
Kristen revealed how Dax encouraged her to speak publicly about her darker moments in life.
“I realised I’d spent so many years presenting this optimistic, joyful person, when I know I have this heaviness that comes on,” said the 45-year-old.
Forgetting Sarah Marshall actress confessed that she shared about her depression and the “feedback” she received was “astounding”.
“I kept talking about it because there are times, due to zero circumstances changing in my life, that my brain will say, ‘Today, you are awful and no one likes you. Don’t get out of bed,’” explained Kristen.
Nobody Wants This actress continued, “And it’s hard to pull myself out of that.”
Reflecting on difficult times, Kristen talked about her lines from Frozen 2.
“Do the next right thing. And the next right thing, often, is pouring my coffee. The next right thing is brushing my teeth and then going downstairs to make breakfast,” she mentioned.
Kristen told the outlet, “It’s taking it step by step.”
Elsewhere in the interview, House of Lies actress pointed out how exercise helped her boost her mood.
“I keep sets of weights in a few places around my house and if I walk by, I’ll do some reps,” remarked Kristen.
The Good Place actress further said, “Dax always says I should write a book called Getting In Shape 60 Seconds At A Time.”
