Pakistani diplomat exposes Modi government’s malicious agenda

UNITED NATIONS/ISLAMABAD: Pakistani diplomat Asif Khan has strongly criticized the Indian government, accusing it of sponsoring terrorism and spreading disinformation to malign Pakistan’s image.

In his remarks, Asif Khan said that India continues to back banned outfits such as the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), and Majeed Brigade, exposing the Modi government’s “heinous face” before the international community.

During the 4th Committee Meeting on Decolonisation Items, Asif Khan, a diplomat representing Pakistan’s Permanent Mission to the UN, said that India’s efforts to misrepresent the situation in the contested region have not succeeded in hiding the truth of its occupation and the associated human rights violations.

He added that India repeats the same baseless and fabricated narrative every year to divert attention from its own internal issues. “Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized disputed territory, and its resolution lies in holding a UN-supervised plebiscite in line with Security Council resolutions,” he stated.

Asif Khan reminded that India itself took the Kashmir dispute to the UN Security Council but now seeks to evade its commitments.

He reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue to support the Kashmiri people’s just and peaceful struggle for self-determination.

“The irresponsible conduct of India poses a serious threat to regional peace and stability,” he warned, adding that India attempts to portray itself as a victim while concealing its state-sponsored terrorism.

Asif Khan concluded that India is not the world’s largest democracy, as it claims, but rather “the world’s largest deception.”
