Shehbaz Sharif & Mohammed bin Salman discuss Palestine issue, agree to boost cooperation

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh, where they discussed the Palestine issue and agreed to enhance cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Shehbaz Sharif arrived at the Royal Court, Qasr Al-Yamamah, and received a warm welcome. Mounted royal guards escorted him with full Saudi royal protocol. Upon arrival, Mohammed bin Salman personally greeted him. The Saudi armed forces also presented a guard of honour to the Pakistani Prime Minister.

High-level officials from Pakistan joined the meeting, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Army Chief Asim Munir, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Climate Change Minister Mussadiq Malik, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.

Earlier, Shehbaz Sharif landed at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, where Deputy Governor Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq, and other senior diplomats warmly received him and his delegation.

The meeting marked a significant step towards strengthening ties between the two brotherly nations.
