ISLAMABAD:
Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Tuesday visited Naval Headquarters and met Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Naveed Ashraf.
According to a statement issued by DGPR Pak Navy, the two discussed the regional maritime security environment and the operational readiness of the Pakistan Navy.
Admiral Ashraf briefed the minister on prevailing maritime challenges and the navy’s comprehensive preparedness to address them. He also outlined ongoing and planned initiatives aimed at enhancing and modernising naval capabilities.
The defence minister took keen interest in the recent induction of advanced platforms and cutting-edge equipment.
