New School Timings Announced in Punjab
The Punjab School Education Department has announced new school timings for all public schools in the province, which will remain in place until October 15, 2025.
This notification comes as schools in most districts get ready to reopen tomorrow.
The updated schedule applies to single-shift schools, double-shift schools, and afternoon schools. Separate timings have also been set for teachers, with extra hours added for lesson planning, training, and co-curricular activities.

The department has directed all District Education Authorities to strictly enforce the revised timings, warning that negligence or non-compliance will be dealt with under the law. A 15-minute flexibility has been allowed for opening and closing times at girls’ schools.
