Imran’s nephew Sher Shah sent on judicial remand

LAHORE:

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore sent ousted premier Imran Khan’s nephew Sher Shah Khan on 14-day judicial remand on Thursday, denying the IO’s request for extension in physical remand.

During the hearing, IO Muhammad Ashraf Javed sought a 30-day extension to the five-day physical remand granted earlier on August 23. The IO contended that further time was required to recover Shah’s mobile phone and a mask allegedly used at the time of the incident — Shah was arrested in connection with May 9 riots — and to obtain details of his social media accounts.
