Four-member team formed to probe dumper Torching

KARACHI: A four-member committee has been formed to investigate the torching of dump trucks following a deadly accident on Rashid Minhas Road that claimed the lives of two siblings and left their father critically injured.

According to details, the incident occurred last night when a dumper truck collided with a motorcycle in a horrific crash. In the aftermath, miscreants set fire to seven dumper trucks.

Additional IG Karachi has constituted the investigation team under the supervision of DIG West Zone Irfan Ali Baloch. The team also includes SSP Central Zeeshan Shafiq Siddiqui, SSP West Tariq Elahi Mastoi, and SP Investigation West-I Anum Tajammul.

The team has been instructed to identify, arrest, arrest and collect solid evidence of the accused and have been ordered to submit a report on the progress of the investigation on a daily basis.

Earlier, Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odho directed SHO Yousuf Plaza Iftikhar Khanzada and SHO Federal B Industrial Area Shahid Baloch to suspend the failure to maintain law and order.

The tragic incident occurred last night when a dumper truck collided with a motorcycle, killing 22-year-old Mahnoor and her 14-year-old brother Ahmed Raza. Their father sustained serious injuries. Mahnoor’s wedding had been scheduled for next month, and preparations were underway at the family home.

Following the accident, enraged individuals set fire to seven dumper trucks. Police and Rangers reached the scene, brought the situation under control, and took the dumper driver into custody.

Police later arrested 10 suspects on charges of rioting and dumper.
