Stock market soars to record high, Dollar falls against rupee

Karachi: On the last trading day of the week, the Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a significant surge.

At the start of the session, the benchmark KSE-100 Index rose by 690 points, reaching an all time high of 146,378 points, the highest level in the country’s history.

This follows a strong rally the previous day as well, when the index crossed the 146,000 mark for the first time ever.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani Rupee gained slightly against the US Dollar.

According to the Exchange Companies Association, the Dollar fell by 10 paisa in interbank market, bringing its rate down to Rs. 282.46.
