Karachi: The KSE-100 Index surged impressively today, reaching a record-breaking high during trading sessions.
For the first time ever, the index touched an unprecedented level of 146,053 points, marking a significant milestone in the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
Trading opened with strong momentum, with the index gaining 704 points, and soon after, it climbed to a new peak at 145,793 points before closing higher.
In parallel market movements, the US dollar weakened against the Pakistani rupee in the interbank market. The dollar dropped by 17 paisa, falling from 282.67 to 282.50 rupees, indicating slight relief for importers and a positive sign for the local currency’s stability.
