President Pezeshkian claims Iran will always remember Pakistan’s support

Islamabad: Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed deep gratitude to Pakistan for its support during times of conflict. Speaking at the Pakistan-Iran Business Forum, he said that Iran will always remember the solidarity shown by the Pakistani government and people.

Shared History, Culture, and Faith:

President Pezeshkian highlighted the unbreakable bonds between Iran and Pakistan, built on a shared history, language, culture, literature, and Islamic values. He emphasized that both are brotherly Islamic nations with deep-rooted ties.

He added that Pakistan holds a vital place in Iran’s foreign policy, and there is now a strong need to transform these cultural and historical connections into deeper economic and strategic partnerships.

Tribute to Allama Iqbal and Call for Muslim Unity:

In his speech, the Iranian President paid tribute to Allama Muhammad Iqbal, calling his poetry a beacon of guidance for the Muslim world. He praised Pakistani literature for consistently promoting Islamic ideals and the unity of the Muslim Ummah.

He urged politicians, religious scholars, and business leaders from all Muslim nations to work together during this critical time. “The need for unity in the Muslim world has never been greater than it is today,” he said.

Economic Collaboration and Border Initiatives:

President Pezeshkian also shed light on the ongoing efforts to boost trade through joint economic zones and border cooperation. He noted that Iran and Pakistan are taking practical steps to improve border security and increase cross-border trade.

He termed the recent exchange of memorandums of understanding (MoUs) between the two countries as a positive step forward. Iran will soon turn these into formal agreements, he assured.

Condemnation of Israeli Aggression:

On global issues, the Iranian President strongly condemned Israeli attacks in Gaza, Lebanon, and Syria, stating that Israel is putting the peace and stability of the entire region at risk.

He concluded by reaffirming Iran’s desire for close cooperation with Pakistan across all sectors, including politics, trade, culture, and regional peace and stability.
