
Islamabad: Prime Minister Pakistan has publicly thanked U.S. President Donald Trump for his instrumental role in finalizing a historic trade agreement between the United States and Pakistan.
The announcement was made via a post on X (formerly Twitter) early Thursday morning.
“I wish to convey my profound thanks to President Trump for his leadership role in finalization of the historic US-Pakistan trade agreement, successfully concluded by our two sides in Washington,”
He wrote. “This landmark deal will strengthen our growing cooperation and help expand the horizons of our enduring partnership in the days to come.”

The trade agreement, concluded after months of high-level negotiations, is being hailed as a breakthrough in bilateral relations. Though full details of the accord have not yet been made public, sources suggest the deal includes significant tariff reductions, expanded market access for Pakistani textiles and agricultural goods, and new investment provisions aimed at boosting U.S. business interests in Pakistan.
