Social media personality Trisha Paytas has made headlines with the announcement of her third child’s name, Aquaman Moses Paytas-Hacmon.

The influencer revealed that she chose the name due to her admiration for the DC Comics character and the movie starring Jason Momoa.

James Gunn, the head of DC Studios, recently commented on Paytas’ unique choice, saying he thinks it’s “cool.” Paytas explained on her popular podcast, Just Trish, that she’s been a long-time fan of Aquaman.

“I’ve been wearing Aquaman t-shirts for years,” she said. “I’ve gone to so many Comic-Con’s for Aquaman. And I really fell in love when we rewatched Aquaman. We watched all the Aquaman’s, I watched the cartoon. I was watching everything.”

When asked about Paytas’ choice, Gunn jokingly expressed concerns about potential teasing her son might face in school.

“I mean, I hope he does OK in school. I had a hard time with the last name Gunn, [being called] like Tommy Gunn, BB gun, ray gun, I’m like, OK, we get it. Is the middle name Gary or something?” he said. Gunn also wondered if Paytas was planning on giving her son a nickname, such as “AQ.”

Paytas reacted to Gunn’s comments on her podcast, saying that the director is “redeeming Aquaman” with the nickname suggestion.

“I think he’s redeeming Aquaman because everybody in the comments was like, ‘He gave Aquaman a nickname,’ and everyone was like, ‘Wait, that hits so hard,'” Paytas quipped. “And the nickname was AQ, and I was like, wait, AQ, so hard. Which I’m kind of like, OK, I’ll go with it.”

Paytas is no stranger to choosing unconventional baby names. Her first daughter is named Malibu Barbie, and her second child is named Elvis, whom she shares with her husband, Moses Hacmon.

The influencer’s latest choice has sparked a mix of reactions online, with some fans praising her creativity and others expressing concern about potential teasing her son might face.
