
Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has reported that a rain-bearing weather system is currently active over Kotli, Jammu, and northeastern Punjab, affecting areas including Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, and Gujranwala.
The system also extends over Jhelum, Sheikhupura, Mandi Bahauddin, Lahore, Kasur, and nearby regions.
According to PMD, rainfall is expected over the next 2 to 4 hours in parts of Kotli, Jammu, and northeastern Punjab in Kashmir, with the possibility of torrential downpours at some locations.
Monsoon rains are likely to continue across upper regions of the country, with showers expected in Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Upper/Central Punjab. Rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms is also likely in Islamabad, northeastern Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Isolated heavy rainfall is forecast for Kashmir, northeastern Punjab, the Potohar region, and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
