Pakistan Hosts Regional Chiefs of Defence Staff Conference

Pakistan hosted the Regional Chiefs of Defence Staff Conference today in Islamabad, convening senior military leadership from the United States of America, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

Field Marshal Syed Asif Munir welcomed all delegations and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peace and stability in the region.

The conference focused on addressing shared threats such as terrorism, cyber security, and extremism.

Participants agreed to enhance cooperation in military training, counterterrorism efforts, and humanitarian response initiatives.

Military leadership emphasized the importance of joint defense policies, exchange of best practices, and fostering mutual trust among the participating delegations.

“In the present era marked by threats and complex security challenges, the need for enhanced military-to-military cooperation, strategic dialogue, and mutual trust has become more critical than ever,” stated Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. He affirmed that Pakistan remains fully dedicated to collaborating with partner nations to foster a secure and prosperous regional environment.

The delegates collectively reaffirmed their commitment to promoting peace, respecting national sovereignty, and addressing shared security challenges such as terrorism, cyber threats, and violent extremism.
