SWAT: A young boy tragically lost his life after reportedly being subjected to torture by a seminary teacher at a madrassa in the Chaliyar area of Khwazakhela, Swat.
According to police, one seminary teacher has been arrested in connection with the incident, while efforts are underway to apprehend two others who are currently at large.
District Police Officer (DPO) Swat stated that further investigation revealed evidence of abuse involving other children at the madrassa. As a result, an additional nine individuals have been taken into custody.
DPO Swat said that a case has also been registered under the Child Protection Act while the seminary has also recovered the goods used in violence against children.
According to DPO Swat, children have been tortured for several months at Khwazakhela Chaliar madrassa, police have sealed the institution by handing over children to the madrassa to their parents.
