India’s ‘New Normal’ in the region is dangerous for all, Warns Bilawal Bhutto

Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has strongly criticized India’s approach towards regional politics, saying it is trying to establish a dangerous “new normal” in South Asia, which benefits no one.

Speaking in an interview with Arab media, Bilawal said that Pakistan has faced more terrorist attacks than India, and it has also been a victim of terrorism for years.

He further claimed that India has admitted its involvement in acts of terrorism inside Pakistan, and criticized India’s behavior after the Pulwama incident. Bilawal said India did not share any evidence with its own people, with Pakistan, or with the international community.

He also pointed out that India’s narrative failed to gain international support, and even the United States did not endorse India’s version of events.

According to Bilawal, India’s goal seems to be to set a “new normal” where violent non-state actors decide the fate of 1.7 billion people in the region. He warned that such an agenda would only create more instability and is not in anyone’s interest.

Bilawal’s remarks have added to the ongoing regional debate on India’s aggressive foreign policy and its impact on South Asian peace and security.
