President Trump claims Iran and Israel agreed to ceasefire

Washington: US President Donald Trump has announced that Iran and Israel have agreed to a full ceasefire, with a structured timeline for its implementation.

However, there has yet to be an official confirmation from either the Iranian or Israeli governments regarding the ceasefire agreement.

This contradiction raises doubts over the credibility of Trump’s announcement and highlights the ongoing volatility in the Middle East. Neither Israel nor the United States government has issued an official confirmation of the ceasefire as of yet.

In a statement posted on his social media platform, Trump declared, “Congratulations to everyone! A full ceasefire has been agreed upon between Israel and Iran.”

Providing further details, Trump stated that both nations will complete their ongoing missions within the next six hours. The conflict will be considered officially over within the following 12 hours.

According to Trump, Iran will initiate the ceasefire, followed by Israel 12 hours later. The formal end to what he called the “12-day war” will be declared 24 hours after the initial ceasefire begins.

“The world will appreciate this,” Trump added, expressing optimism that the ceasefire will be welcomed globally as a move toward peace in the region.

On the other hand, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has categorically dismissed the U.S. president’s claim.

“There has been no agreement on a ceasefire or an end to military operations between Iran and Israel,” Araghchi stated.

He added that Iranian military operations against Israeli aggression continued until 4 a.m., and that all missions were successfully completed by that time. “A final decision on halting military operations will be made later,” he said.

The Iranian response casts serious doubt on Trump’s announcement, and neither the Israeli government nor U.S. officials have issued independent confirmation.

The situation remains tense, with observers warning of further escalation unless verified diplomatic efforts take place.
