LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Cricket West Indies (CWI) are in advanced discussions to revise their upcoming bilateral series, sources said.
Originally, the tour was set to feature three T20Is in the United States—on July 31, August 2, and August 3—followed by three ODIs in Trinidad on August 8, 10, and 12. However, with the boards prioritising preparations for the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, the focus has shifted toward maximising T20 exposure.
“The PCB is optimistic that West Indies will agree to the proposed change,” a source close to the development said, adding that the revised series could feature five or even six T20Is.
The move mirrors a similar adjustment made for Pakistan’s upcoming tour of Bangladesh, where a three-match T20I series—scheduled for July 20, 22, and 24 in Dhaka—was finalised outside the ICC’s Future Tours Programme (FTP). That series was agreed upon during meetings between PCB and BCB officials on the sidelines.
