US Warship heads to Middle East amid Iran-Israel War; China responds strongly
The United States has deployed a powerful warship from the South China Sea to the Middle East amid escalating tensions between Iran and Israel. The move has triggered global concern and drawn a strong response from China.
According to reports, the warship equipped with 12 F-22 Raptors and F-35 fighter jets left its position 36 hours ago and is expected to arrive in the Middle East within 2 to 4 days. So far, US officials have not issued any formal statement about the deployment.
China reacted swiftly the next day. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang criticized former US President Donald Trump’s recent remarks about Tehran, calling them “irresponsible and inflammatory.” He warned that such threats and pressure could worsen the situation further.
In a press briefing, China emphasized the need for dialogue and restraint and urged both Iran and Israel to seek a peaceful resolution. Geng also made it clear that China stands firmly against any unilateral or provocative actions that could lead to more conflict.
Meanwhile, global powers are closely watching the situation. Trump had recently issued a warning to evacuate Tehran immediately. On the same night, Iran launched heavy attacks on Israeli targets, reportedly causing serious damage to Mossad headquarters, a refinery, and other defense installations.
