Lady Gaga will be a ‘great mom’ to her baby daughter, says dancer Michael Dameski

‘I think, for me it’s just the way she just would treat us [on tour and set] with so much care and love,’ Dameski said

Lady Gaga’s longtime collaborator Michael Dameski believes the pop superstar will be a wonderful mother, praising the singer for the kindness and care she showed her dancers while working together on her Mayhem Ball world tour.

Dameski, 30, shared his thoughts on Gaga’s new chapter as a parent during an exclusive interview with PEOPLE at the 2026 Industry Dance Awards in Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 21. The Australian dancer performed alongside Gaga on her tour and appeared in the music video for her hit song Abracadabra.

“I think, for me, it’s just the way she just would treat us [on tour and set] with so much care and love,” Dameski said. “I really see [motherhood] for her and I’m really excited for her.”

The dancer also described Gaga as one of the hardest-working people he has ever encountered, explaining that witnessing her dedication to her craft had been an inspiring experience.

“She’s the hardest worker I think I’ve ever encountered in my life,” he said. “I’m so grateful for having that experience because I just don’t think I’ve ever met someone who works as hard.”

Gaga, 40, reportedly welcomed her first child, a daughter, with her fiancé, entrepreneur Michael Polansky, in June. According to documents obtained by PEOPLE, the baby was born on June 9. The couple have not publicly confirmed their daughter’s name or sex.

Sources previously told PEOPLE that becoming a mother had long been important to Gaga and that she was enjoying time away from the public eye with her baby. Polansky has also reportedly been actively involved in caring for their child as the couple adjust to parenthood.

The singer and Polansky became engaged in 2024 after going public with their relationship in 2020. Their partnership also extends to their professional lives, with Polansky collaborating with Gaga on her 2025 album Mayhem and co-producing her subsequent tour.

Gaga has previously spoken about her hopes of becoming a mother. In a 2025 interview with ELLE, she discussed wanting her future children to develop their own identities rather than feel defined by her fame or artistic career.

“I would never actually want to shape it or tell them how to think about me,” she said of how her children might view her artistry. She added that she and Polansky had discussed the importance of allowing their children to become their own people.

Gaga released Mayhem in March 2025 before launching the Mayhem Ball world tour that July. The tour concluded at New York City’s Madison Square Garden in April 2026, shortly before the reported arrival of her daughter.

Dameski’s comments offer a glimpse into the personal qualities that have made an impression on Gaga’s collaborators, as the singer embraces a new chapter away from the demands of touring and public appearances.
