Travis Kelce comes under fire for allegedly liking Shane Gillis’ problematic ‘SNL’ joke about women

During his monologue, Gillis joked about women’s gym attire saying, ‘I didn’t know women just dressed like wh*res now’

Travis Kelce has faced online criticism after his Instagram account, @killatrav, appeared among those who liked a Saturday Night Live clip featuring Shane Gillis making controversial jokes about women’s gym clothing.

During his monologue, Gillis joked about women’s workout attire, saying, “I didn’t know women just dressed like wh*res now.”

He also mocked the fit of gym clothing and warned men against looking at women because they could appear in the background of their TikTok videos.

The alleged like on the clip has prompted criticism of Kelce, with social media users questioning his reaction to the comedian’s remarks.

One commenter wrote, “knowing his slow ass, he was probably too dumb to understand how offensive the joke was i bet he found it funny”.

Another added, “I’m hoping he liked this by accident or that he didn’t see it fully and liked it cuz oml”.

A third user commented, “travis kelce liking that horribly misogynistic snl vid… maybe that’s just the kind of humor they have in cleveland”.

The backlash comes as comedian and actor Dan Levy has also criticised Gillis’ remarks.

In an Instagram video, Levy challenged the suggestion that women’s clothing makes them responsible for men’s behaviour.

“Women wearing short shorts to the gym does not make them wh*res. It makes the men calling them wh*res misogynists. There’s a difference there,” Levy said.

The incident has fuelled debate about misogyny, comedy and accountability online.
