George Clooney has finally broken the silence on the tragic death of his longtime friends Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber’s son Presley Gerber.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the 65-year-old actor described Presley’s death as “the worst thing that could ever happen with family.”
“Quite honestly, it’s one of the most devastating things that’s happened to our family,” said George.
“And their family is just … as you can imagine,” he added.
For those unversed, Presley was found dead on September 20 inside his room at a luxurious sober living facility in Santa Monica, Los Angeles. He was just 27.
The model died of an apparent overdose.
“On September 20, 2026, at approximately 9:35 a.m., Santa Monica Police Department officers responded to a report of a possible overdose in the 1000 block of Berkeley Street,” the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner told the Daily Mail at that time.
“Upon arrival, officers located an adult male who was deceased,” a spokesperson added.
Before his tragic death, Presley had begun to speak openly about his mental health.
“Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do,” the model said on the Studio 22 podcast.
“[Mental health] is an issue. It is such a big part of my life. It’s a 24/7 job, and there’s so much to it,” he added. “That’s really what I want to do: help people, whether you’re depressed, you’re struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body. I mean it could be anything, and there’s no judgment.”
