‘Reacher’ star Alan Ritchson and wife announce end of their marriage after 20 years
Alan Ritchson and his wife, Catherine, are ending their marriage after 20 years together.
The Reacher star, 43, and Catherine shared the news in a joint Instagram post on September 12, saying they’ve decided to part ways while going on to support one another in a new form.
In their statement, the couple looked back on growing up together and building a life and family, including their three sons, Calem, Edan, and Amory, who they said will always remain the center of their world.
They asked for privacy during this time, noting that change is difficult enough without public scrutiny, and thanked fans for their continued support.
A TMZ report also cited legal documents, revealing Ritchson had actually filed for divorce back in December, and the couple briefly reconciled in March before ultimately deciding to separate again.
Ritchson and Catherine first met in high school and later reconnected while she was attending the University of Florida. They married in May 2006.
The couple has largely kept their relationship private over the years, though Ritchson shared a tribute to his wife on their 19th anniversary in 2025, even calling their marriage and family the greatest privilege of his life.
