Pakistan suffered another setback following their 194-run defeat to England in the Lord’s Test, with several national players dropping in the latest ICC Test rankings.
Babar Azam fell five places to 15th in the Test batting rankings after scoring 8 runs in the first innings and just 6 in the second.
Pakistan’s Saud Shakeel, however, made a major gain, climbing 15 places to 18th. Sri Lanka’s Sonal Dinusha is ranked 25th.
Among other Pakistani batters, Mohammad Rizwan dropped seven places to 33rd, Shan Masood fell three spots to 41st, while Salman Ali Agha also slipped three places to 43rd.
Changes in Test Bowling Rankings
Australia’s Mitchell Starc retained the top position in the Test bowling rankings, while New Zealand’s Matt Henry climbed one place to second.
England’s Ollie Robinson moved up six places to fifth, while Sri Lanka’s Asitha Fernando improved four spots to 11th.
Pakistan’s Mohammad Abbas remained 15th, while England’s Josh Tongue climbed four places to 13th.
England fast bowler Gus Atkinson suffered a 10-place drop and fell to 24th in the latest rankings.
