Prince Harry, King Charles make no further contact after reunion

The father and son have had no phone calls, text messages or plans for another meeting since July 10.

LONDON: Prince Harry and King Charles III have reportedly not spoken since their much-publicized reunion earlier this month, despite renewed hopes that the meeting would help mend their long-standing relationship.

According to palace sources cited in media reports, the father and son have had no phone calls, text messages or plans for another meeting since parting ways on July 10, following their meeting at Highgrove House in the United Kingdom.

A palace insider said the reunion ended with Prince Harry returning to California and that there has been no further contact. While the meeting raised expectations of a broader reconciliation, no additional discussions have been scheduled, the source added.

Another royal source described the reunion as an important first step rather than a complete resolution to years of strained relations.

The source said both sides viewed the meeting positively but acknowledged that longstanding issues had not been resolved overnight.

King Charles has since resumed his official royal duties, while Prince Harry has returned to California to be with Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, and their children.

Royal commentators say the goodwill generated by the reunion remains, but progress toward reconciliation has stalled, leaving the future of their relationship uncertain.
