Who is Julian Croonenberghs? Olivia Rodrigo sparks romance buzz after being spotted with mystery man in NYC
The financier has been identified by online users as the man recently seen with Rodrigo in Brooklyn
Olivia Rodrigo’s recent appearances with an unidentified companion in New York have sparked widespread speculation online, with social media users claiming they have identified the man at the centre of the dating rumours as Julian Croonenberghs.
According to reports, the singer was reportedly seen with the same man on three occasions in Brooklyn over the course of a week.
Celebrity gossip account Deuxmoi first reported that the pair were spotted having lunch in the Clinton Hill neighbourhood, leading fans to nickname him the “Clinton Hill man”.
The pair were later reportedly seen dining together at a Brooklyn restaurant and wine bar, where an eyewitness claimed they appeared affectionate throughout the evening. A third reported sighting took place at Nightmoves, a Brooklyn nightclub with a no-phones policy, where witnesses alleged they were seen kissing on the dance floor.
Following the sightings, an X user claimed the mystery man was Julian Croonenberghs. The post alleged, “I just got the tea on Olivia Rodrigo’s mystery man she’s dating. His name is Julian Croonenberghs. He’s a Brown University grad, private equity associate in NYC, previously worked in investment banking, and was also a field hockey player for the USA team.”

Croonenberghs is reportedly a New York-based private equity associate at Hg Capital, a software-focused investment firm.
Before joining the company, he worked as an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs.
He graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science.
Away from finance, Croonenberghs also represented the United States men’s national field hockey team between 2018 and 2020.
Playing as both a forward and midfielder, he competed internationally after developing his career with Greenwich Field Hockey Club.
Despite the claims, there has been no official confirmation that Croonenberghs is the man photographed with Rodrigo.
Neither Olivia Rodrigo nor Julian Croonenberghs has publicly commented on the dating rumours.
