Shehbaz Sharif sends warm Eid wishes to Erdogan and world leaders

On Sunday, Prime Minister Sharif called several world leaders, including Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to extend his warm greetings on the auspicious occasion of Eid ul Adha.

During his phone call with President Erdogan, PM Shehbaz conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the Turkish leader and the brotherly people of Turkey.

The two leaders agreed to fast-track the implementation of key decisions they took in their recent meetings earlier this year.

The premier said accelerating bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade and investment, would benefit both countries.

Recalling their recent meetings in Istanbul and Lachin, the premier thanked President Erdogan for Turkey’s strong and unwavering support for Pakistan during the recent Pakistan-India standoff.

He said this gesture won the hearts of the people of Pakistan and added another glorious chapter to the history of Pakistan-Turkey brotherhood.

Both leaders reaffirmed their unflinching support for each other in their core interests. They also discussed the latest regional and global developments, including the situation in Gaza.

In his remarks, President Erdogan thanked PM Shehbaz for his Eid wishes and reciprocated these sentiments for the people of Pakistan. He also reaffirmed Turkey’s resolute support for Pakistan on all important issues.

Pakistan, Kazakhstan vow to expand bilateral cooperation:

Meanwhile, PM Shehbaz called Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and conveyed Eid greetings to him and his countrymen. During the call, the two leaders expressed satisfaction with the positive momentum in bilateral ties.

They also reaffirmed their commitment to fully expand cooperation between the two countries. They reviewed the current state of bilateral relations and exchanged views on various upcoming engagements.

During their discussion, the PM briefed the Kazakh President on Pakistan’s efforts to maintain peace and security in the region amid the recent Pakistan-India crisis.

PM Shehbaz said he looks forward to the Kazakh President’s visit to Pakistan later this year, when both sides will sign a number of important agreements and MoUs.

On the occasion, the Kazakh president thanked PM Shehbaz for the Eid telephone call and expressed warm wishes to the people of Pakistan.

He said he plans to visit Pakistan by the end of the year.
