MGK experienced yellowing of the skin, sleep problems, and difficulty moving parts of his upper body
Machine Gun Kelly, also known as MGK, has shared details about a serious health issue he faced during his full body blackout tattoo process.
He said the intense tattoo work affected his health badly and happened much faster than planned. MGK explained in an interview that he chose to complete the tattoo project in two months instead of the two years suggested by his tattoo artist.
He said this fast process led to strong physical side effects. He shared that his body reacted badly after work was done on sensitive areas around his armpits and shoulders.
The singer said he became very sick during the process. He experienced yellowing of the skin, sleep problems, and difficulty moving parts of his upper body. He added that the situation became serious after the first week of sessions.
Despite these health problems, MGK said he later recovered and felt inspired by the experience. He explained that the struggle gave him a new sense of motivation and personal growth.
According to him, the tattoo journey was not only about changing his appearance but also about going through a physical and emotional transformation.
The blackout tattoo, first shown in 2024, was designed by artist ROXX. MGK said it marked a new phase in his life and career. He also said he wanted a change that was physical, not just related to his music or sound.
Earlier, the artist, whose real name is Colson Baker, had described the tattoo process as one of the most painful experiences of his life.
