The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has predicted rain in several parts of Pakistan on June 11 and 12, while most areas of the country continue to experience very hot weather.
According to the latest advisory, rain and strong winds are expected in Islamabad, parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and northern Punjab during these two days. Areas likely to receive rainfall include Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, and Lahore.
The NDMA said the rain could provide some relief to people facing high temperatures in recent days. However, hot weather is expected to continue across much of the country before the weather system arrives.
Sindh, southern Punjab, and Balochistan are likely to remain under severe heat, with temperatures expected to increase further in several areas. Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, and northern Punjab are also expected to face intense heat from June 7 to 10.
In Sindh, hot and dry weather is expected to continue in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpurkhas, Tharparkar, and other areas of the province.
The advisory further stated that northeastern districts of Balochistan, including Zhob and Musakhel, may receive light rain accompanied by thunderstorms on June 11 and 12.
Although rainfall is expected in selected areas, the overall weather outlook indicates that most parts of the country will continue to experience harsh summer conditions in the coming days.
