CHINIOT: In a shocking and unexpected incident on Eid day, a man in Chiniot allegedly killed his sister following a domestic argument, police said.
According to details the incident took place in the Burj Babul area under the jurisdiction of Chenab Nagar police station, where a dispute reportedly broke out over a household issue involving food.
Police stated that the argument escalated rapidly, during which the suspect allegedly attacked his sister with a stick, killing her on the spot.
Senior police officials and local police reached the scene soon after the incident and initiated legal proceedings. Evidence was collected and further investigation was launched.
Authorities confirmed that a case has been registered at Chenab Nagar police station under relevant sections of law. The accused, however, managed to flee the scene and is currently at large, with raids underway for his arrest.
