The comments come amid an ongoing public dispute between Rick Ross and Drake, who were once collaborators
Rick Ross criticised Drake’s ICEMAN album, calling it “horrendous” during a recent podcast interview.
Rick Ross has criticised Drake’s latest release, describing the Canadian rapper’s album ICEMAN as “horrendous” during an appearance on the PBD podcast on May 20.
The comments come amid an ongoing public dispute between Rick Ross and Drake, who were once collaborators but have exchanged diss tracks and public remarks since 2024.
During the interview, Ross said he listened to parts of ICEMAN, which was released on May 15, and strongly criticised the project’s quality. He stated, “I listened to some of it. It was horrendous. My homies actually sat there. They lost an hour of their life for their s*t…”
He added that friends who heard the album were unimpressed, saying they “came out like, ‘Damn, this s**t wack.’” Ross further questioned the artistic impact of the project, comparing it to classic records and asking where standout songs similar to major hits could be found.
Ross also said he did not listen to the entire album, adding that he “couldn’t” complete it. His comments follow claims that Drake referenced Ross on the ICEMAN track “Make Them Pay”, intensifying tensions between the two artists.
Drake’s ICEMAN project, released alongside Maid of Honour and Habibti, marks his first solo work since 2023’s For All The Dogs. Following the release, Ross also described the albums as “mid” and referred to Drake as “washed” in subsequent online reactions and podcast appearances.
The ongoing feud has included diss tracks, social media exchanges, and public interviews, with both artists continuing to reference each other’s careers and personal reputations.
