Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are reportedly facing claims that they owe about $2.1 million to contractors working on their huge estate in New York.
The couple bought multiple connected properties in Lewisboro, New York, in 2018, with the land totalling around 110 acres.
In 2022, Lively took an initial step with the intent to build an “incredibly sustainable” family home on the land. She said they were eager to move forward and live there with their four children.
The planned home was expected to host amenities like a pool, gym, and pool house. Approval was given for construction, though the design was later reduced in size.
Reports now claim that construction has stopped. Multiple contractors and subcontractors have allegedly filed liens, saying they have not been paid for completed work.
One of the largest claims is said to be over $1.35 million from a construction firm involved in major systems work including plumbing, framing, and waterproofing. Other reported claims include drainage, structural work, and installation services.
Representatives for the couple have not publicly responded to the allegations.
The report comes shortly after Lively settled a separate legal dispute related to her film It Ends With Us and co-star Justin Baldoni. The case involved claims of defamation and workplace misconduct, which Baldoni has denied.
Earlier reports also suggested the couple had considered relocating outside the United States during recent legal and public scrutiny.
