Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are giving major couple goals with their summer plans.
The couple is set to spend the summer together on the road as Wilson embarks on her Sound of a Woman concert tour across the United States.
Speaking with People Magazine at the premiere of the new Broadway show Celebrity Autobiography on Monday, Hanks said, “I am proud. I am entertained. I am gasped and often I’m also left at home when she gets up and takes care of business.”
However, Wilson talked about the summer plans, saying, “He comes in and out when I’m on tour, so we see each other then.”
And when asked about the upcoming travel plans, Hanks asked, “Are we?” adding, “Okay. I do what I’m told.”
“She’s on tour; when she’s on tour, I’m not working,” he added.
Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson met in 1981 on the set of Bosom Buddies. But, they reconnected later and went public with their relationship in 1996. The couple then tied the knot in 1988.
Previously, Wilson talked about their marriage, saying that one of the most important bedrocks of their relationship is shared bathroom. She said, “That’s where you download everything.”
“That’s where you download the day. You laugh about what you’re doing. In the mornings, you’re thinking about, ‘What are you doing today? Where are you going to be? Great, I want you there,'” Wilson added.
Furthermore, she also noted that they “never to go bed mad.”
“I heard that early, early on, and I thought, ‘That’s actually really good.’ You don’t want to wake up in the morning and have that lingering feeling. So whatever it is, resolve it before you go to bed,” Wilson said.
