Foolio’s mother trolls convicts after ‘guilty as charged’ verdicts in son’s murder case

The rapper, whose real name was Charles Jones, was shot and killed while celebrating his birthday in Tampa, Florida

The mother of late rapper Julio Foolio has spoken publicly after four men were convicted in connection with his murder nearly two years after the fatal shooting.

Sandrikas Mays, reacted on social media following the guilty verdicts delivered on Friday, May 8. The rapper, whose real name was Charles Jones, was shot and killed while celebrating his birthday in Tampa, Florida.

As reported by No Jumper on Instagram, Mays posted a photograph of one of the convicted men appearing emotional in court and shared a video featuring bottles of Don Julio tequila, referencing her son’s rap moniker.

“JUSTICE 4 FOOLIO !!!” she wrote on Instagram. “The Right Get Back !!! G U I L T Y AS CHARGED …. We all gonna cry together!!!! Wat they say ??? Pop a bottle of Don Julio … Let’s Drink up !!!”

The four convicted men — Isaiah Chance, Sean Gathright, Davion Murphy and Rashad Murphy — now face either the death penalty or life imprisonment under Florida law. A sentencing phase is expected to begin next week, during which prosecutors and defence attorneys will present recommendations before a judge and jury determine the punishment.

A fifth defendant, Alicia Andrews, was previously found guilty on lesser manslaughter charges and is also awaiting sentencing. Prosecutors alleged Andrews and her boyfriend, Isaiah Chance, tracked Foolio’s movements and shared his location with the other suspects before the shooting took place.

The case has attracted significant attention within the hip-hop community since Foolio’s death, particularly due to the rapper’s long-running feuds and diss tracks linked to rival groups.

Mays’ comments mark her first major public response following the convictions, as supporters and family members continue to reflect on the impact of the case ahead of the sentencing hearings.
