Gold price per tola falls in Pakistan amid global sell-off

The price of gold per tola fell by Rs 5,300, bringing it down to Rs 488,362.

KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a significant decline on Monday as global rates also moved downward.

According to market data from Karachi, the price of gold per tola fell by Rs 5,300, bringing it down to Rs 488,362.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs 4,544, settling at Rs 418,691.

In the international market, gold prices dropped by $53 per ounce, reaching $4,660.

Meanwhile, silver prices remained stable in the local market, with the per tola rate unchanged at Rs 8,513.

Earlier, The federal government revised the prices of jet fuel and light diesel oil following recent changes in petroleum product prices in Pakistan.

According to an official notification, the price of jet fuel has been increased by Rs 53.11 per litre, taking the new price to Rs 441.66 per litre.

Meanwhile, the price of light diesel oil has been reduced by Rs 21.07 per litre, bringing the new rate down to Rs 265.84 per litre.
